SUGGESTED TOUR ITINERARY

 

Day 01: Arrive Delhi (By Train/Flight – TBA) Meals: No Meals

Delhi – Dharamshala (approx. 120 Kms/3-4 hrs)

Arrive Delhi, meet upon arrival and proceed for an overnight drive to Dharamshala.

 

Day 02: Arrive at Dalhousie Meals: Dinner only

Morning arrives at Dharamshala.

Dharamshala, situated at an altitude of approx 1500 meters above sea level in the hill state of Himachal Pradesh, stands at the foot of the Dhauladhar ranges and has a magnificent view of snowy peaks, deodar and pine forests, tea gardens, and beautiful hills. Dharamshala is a beautiful and serene hill town that shot to fame after His Holiness Dalai Lama took shelter here. Upon arrival proceed to check in at the hotel. Standard check-in time is 1200 hrs.

Later enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dharamshala visiting the Cricket Stadium, War Memorial, Mahadev Temple, Tea Gardens, Church, Bhagsunag Waterfall, Naddi View Point, and Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

 

Day 03: Dharamshala – Dalhousie (approx. 120 Kms/4 hrs) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

After breakfast proceed to experience the charm of Dalhousie. The route you will be following to reach the destination is filled with greenery and a very refreshing vibe. Upon arrival in Dalhousie proceed for check-in.

Later enjoy a sightseeing tour of Manali visiting Panchpula. It is one of the most popular places in the town and tourists flock here to enjoy the alluring beauty of this place. On the way to Panchpula is the Satdhara falls. Continue your visit to St. John's Church at Gandhi Chowk. It is a beautiful Protestant church that will remind you of the Victorian period. It is an elegant building that has great historical eminence. Evening free to explore Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

 

Day 04: Dalhousie – Chamba – Khajjiar – Dalhousie  Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

After buffet breakfast proceeds for an excursion to Chamba and Khajjiar. These towns lay in close proximity to Dalhousie and are blessed with verdant greenery. Khajjiar is located 24 kilometers away from Dalhousie. Khajjiar is nicknamed the ‘Mini Switzerland’ of India. The famous Khajjiar Lake and the Khajji Nag temple. Khajjiar is located at the base of the Dhauladhar mountains and one can get a panoramic view of the ranges from the hill town.

Later continue your visit to Chamba, a beautiful hill station that is laden with many beautiful places. There are many temples and beautiful, places that you can visit here.

After the visit drive back to the hotel

Day 05: Dalhousie – Amritsar (approx. 200 Kms/4-5 hrs) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner 

After breakfast proceeds for the drive to Amritsar. 

Amritsar is one of the most spiritual places in India, the Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib, is the holiest shrine in all of Sikhism. Located right in the heart of Amritsar and easily reachable from any part of the city, the stunning golden architecture of the temple and the daily Langar (community kitchen) attract a large number of visitors and devotees each day. 

Upon arrival proceed to check in at the hotel.

Evening visit Wagah Border is famous for its beating retreat border ceremony between the neighboring countries India and Pakistan. Wagah border lies on the outskirts of Amritsar near the Radcliffe Line, the boundary demarcation line dividing India and Pakistan during the Partition of India, was drawn. People from both sides of the border participate in large numbers to attend this retreat ceremony. 

Evening proceeds for a sightseeing tour of Amritsar visiting Golden Temple which is one of the holiest Sikh Gurudwaras in India. The next place to cover will be Jallianwala Bagh where the tragic massacre led by general dyer took place.

Day 06: Amritsar – Delhi (approx. 560 Kms/14-15 hrs) Meal: Breakfast only

After buffet breakfast proceed for the drive back to Delhi.

Upon arrival drop at the railway station or airport to board the train/flight for an onward journey.
